SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGER
The Chassis & Safety division develops and produces integrated active and passive driving safety technologies as well as products that support vehicle dynamics. The product portfolio ranges from electronic and hydraulic brake and chassis control systems to sensors, advanced driver assistance systems, airbag electronics and sensorics as well as electronic air suspension systems all the way to windscreen washer systems and headlight cleaning nozzles. The focus lies on a high level of system competence and the networking of individual components. Thus products and system functions are developed along the SensePlanAct chain of effects. They form the foundation for automated driving. Chassis & Safety employs more than 43,000 people worldwide and generated sales of approximately €9.0 billion in 2016.
For their location in Frankfurt, the company is looking for a Software Project Manager.
The holder of the job will be responsible for the following accountabilities:
- Software project responsibility including the coordination of the international SW team in the Business Unit VED
- Project responsibility for customer projects, including participation in project meetings with the customer
- Creation and continuous maintenance of the project schedule (in coordination with the software team and the customer)
- Coordination of the tasks of the team with the department heads in case of deadlines being exceeded
- Implementation of the development process based on Automotive SPICE
- Maintenance of the project documentation (consistency check of the project documentation, archiving in the version management system)
- Coordination and handling of clearance activities
- Tracking the project issues to comply with the specified KPIs
- Provide execution statistics for management escalation
Required training and experience:
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical Eng., Informatics, Computer Science, SW Eng.)
- At least 5 years of professional experience developing a similar role.
- Several years of experience in software development / software project management
- Software development / Project development know how
- Knowledge of software engineering according to SPICE
- Open to relocate to Frankfurt.
